Аэропорт Катиклан — Боракай, Филиппины, как добраться из аэропорта до Боракая

На самом Боракае аэропорта нет и вряд ли он когда-то будет, поскольку остров слишком маленький. Да и зачем он нужен, если уже есть аэропорт Катиклана имени Годофредо П. Рамоса, от которого добраться до острова можно за 15 минут (5 минут на трайсикле до порта и 10 минут на лодке).
Это самый ближайший аэропорт к Боракаю. Ежегодный пассажиропоток составляет около 800 000 человек.

В 2 ч езды также имеется аэропорт Калибо. Раньше многие туристы прилетали в него, т.к. в Катиклан было мало рейсов и билеты были дорогие. Теперь же количество рейсов практически сравнялось, лишь цены немного разняться. С другой стороны дешевая стоимость перелета в Калибо частично нивелируется стоимостью транспорта от аэропорта до пирса, минибас стоит минимум 200 песо с человека. Так что особого смысла лететь в Калибо нет.
В настоящее время в аэропорту терминал вылета и терминал прилета разнесены на несколько километров друг от друга.
Небольшое здание прилета находится в «чистом поле», на берегу моря, в паре километров от порта Катиклан. Здесь практически ничего нет, ни кафе, ни банкоматов.
Терминал вылета – более старый и более большой. Он расположен в черте города, в 8-10 минутах пешим шагом от порта. Внутри терминала есть несколько кафе, где можно перекусить.
Есть план построить большой общий терминал рядом с нынешней зоной прилета.

Рейсы из России, Украины и стран СНГ
Прямых рейсов из России на Боракай нет, надо делать пересадку в Маниле или Себу. Главными внутренними авиаперевозчиками являются Cebu Pacific, Philippines AirAsia и Philippine Airlines. Первые два являются бюджетными перевозчиками-лоукостами и цены на них самые низкие. Правда в стоимость входит только ручная кладь, а за багаж надо доплачивать.
В аэропорт Катиклана есть десяток прямых рейсов в день из Манилы, несколько перелетов из Себу и Кларк Лусон, один рейс из Эль-Нидо.

Как добраться от аэропорта до отеля на Боракае
От аэропорта Катиклан до порта добраться можно на трайсикле за 100 песо (за все транспортное средство, а не с человека). Ехать 5-6 минут.
При прибытии в порт вы оплачиваете билет на лодку (стоит 25 песо) и 2 портовых сбора в 100 и 75 песо – в сумме выходит 200 песо.
Лодки отходят примерно каждые полчаса или как заполнятся. Плыть 8-10 минут. Причаливают к южной оконечности Боракая, к Cagban Jetty Port.
Чтобы добраться до пляжа, надо взять трайсикл или поехать на электрокаре. До отеля на Вайт Бич первый стоит 300 песо, а второй 20 песо. Но за 20 песо проезд только в том случае, если наберётся полный салон (10 человек), т. е. придется ждать (обычно минут 10-15). Плюс к этому они не развозят по отелям, а высаживают на Главной дороге в любом месте своего маршрута.
Если вам такой способ кажется утомительным, то есть более простой вариант – оплатить трансфер от аэропорта Катиклан до отеля на Боракае. Он включает в себя минивэн до порта, лодку и опять минивэн, который развозит по отелям. Такой трансфер нельзя заказать по прилету, в аэропорту стоят только трайсиклы, которые везут до порта. Зато этот трансфер можно забронировать онлайн заранее, вас встретят с табличкой и дальше вам уже ничего не надо будет делать самим, пока не приедете в отель. Все варианты и цены вы видите в форме ниже. Кстати, цены не слишком отличаются от того, если бы поехали сами, зато волнений меньше.

Wonderful Holiday
Our experience at the resort was wonderful. We owe this to the attitude and service of the fantastic staff, pristine beach, head chef Rick, and sous chef Rodrigo. Starting with the slightly negative points first (so that the review ends with the positives), I wish there were chairs/loungers on the beach. For whatever reason, the resort only provides straw mats, which means that one has to lie/sit on the sand, which can be uncomfortable for long beach sessions. There are only a few loungers placed just on the edge of the resort premises which resulted in a passive-aggressive competition amongst guests to wake up as early as possible and secure a lounger by laying their towels out before heading off to breakfast. Ain’t nobody (noraml) got time for that. The restaurants sometimes seemed unprepared to receive guests for lunch and there were days when the service was extremely slow. Considering we were there over Christmas and New Year’s and the service was mostly great, we were forgiving. More positively, the beachfront was picture-perfect.
We loved the Sol Marina Beach Club located right on the beach, which was quiet and clean. We were blessed with great weather, and could enjoy the incredibly clear water daily. We really appreciated the flexibility of the restaurants to serve us any item from any menu, regardless of the restaurant in which we actually dined. We visited the spa towards the end of our stay and immediately regretted that we had not visited sooner, which would have allowed us to book more appointments. The service was excellent and the massages were top-notch. Considering the amount of engagement one can expect to have with the staff at a resort, manners, attitude, and personal service are really appreciated and go a long way. The Mövenpick staff did not disappoint. Our interactions with each and every one were great. They were forthcoming, friendly, and dedicated. The highlight of our stay was the level of service provided by head chef Rick and sous chef Rodrigo. Our plant-based dietary requirements have been difficult for other resorts to cater for.
Our experience with other resorts/chefs have left us feeling apprehensive about visiting resort restaurants and a sense that we must be the first and only plant-based guests that they have hosted. While others were unprepared, unable or reluctant to cater for us, these two guys knocked it out of the park. We had a conversation with Chef Rick on our first day to express our needs and from that moment we felt that things would be different. We met Sous Chef Rodrigo the next morning, who would be preparing breakfast. We were not disappointed. For the rest of our stay, we never had to look for either chef again. They spoke to us everyday about what they could prepare for us (as the standard restaurants menus had very few plant-based options). The food was excellent and varied. More than anything, we felt heard and believed that they cared about us. With regards to our daily meals, it is by far the best experience we’ve had a resort. Rick and Rodrigo really made the difference for us and we could not be more grateful.

We are here since 6 days and it getting worse… we are very disappointed Every day it is a struggle for place at the breakfast and the sunbeds . There are too many people- so it’s very stressful !! The staff is friendly and try its best … but they have no chance because of the false management !!!!! I would never recommend this hotel !!

Very Nice Beachside Resort
We had a brief 2 night stay (unfortunately due to a flight cancellation we were delayed in getting there by 1 day) and we were unable to extend our stay due to booked flights back home. Overall a very impressive resort with the highlights being a very large pool, private beach, free shuttle to the commercial area of Boracay and a variety of food cuisines. Additionally we had the Hotel arrange our transfer to and from the local airport and this was seemless. Staff are eager to please and for the most part provided good service. Our room was of a good size, modern and clean. I’m an Elite Accor Plus Member and we were treated like VIP’s by Front Office Manager Jenevic Alido. This lady is a gem and nothing was too much trouble for her. The only little let down here is that service at the various food outlets is a little slow and while the staff all tried hard they were overwhelmed at times and there were some minor communication issues due their English being fairly basic. Breakfast Buffet was particularly busy (a little expected when the resort was so busy) but was a little uncomfortable. This said we would gladly come back here. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break whether it be a family or just adults.

5 star paradise ?
The location and beach are great and the staff were friendly and helpful and frankly saved a number of the inadequacies inherent in the property. The rooms aren’t 5 star and the food rarely went above adequate at best. Most didn’t enjoy the queuing and waiting for breakfast each morning. We certainly didn’t and indeed decided not to for the first 2 days of the stay. The Italian, Bezza was the best outlet and the food was probably in line with the costs. The service at the Italian was also good albeit you had to feel for the staff who seemed to be doing everthing at 100 miles an hour. Training ? Under resourced ? So in the end I came to the conclusion we paid for the location and beach. If that’s what you are looking for you can find a little slice of white sand paradise, just lower your expectations in other areas.
