INFORMATION ABOUT ARRIVAL DATES
When collecting your vehicle at the airport it is vital that you supply us with the correct flight details. We use the provided flight details to check on delays; this way we can assure you that your vehicle will not be given to another client and we will meet you at the airport.
Should you not be sure that the flight number you provided us with is correct then please check it and respond to this email with the correct flight number. In any case, should you have any changes to make to your booking please don’t hesitate in advising us by responding to this email. All bookings must include obligatorily a correct flight number. Please check all details before sending the form as any incorrect information will automatically make the booking void. The same applies for delivery in the train station in Malaga or the cruise terminal of the port of Malaga.
DETAILS OF THE COLLECTION
Collection at Malaga Airport:
After collecting your luggage, please DO NOT GO DOWNSTAIRS to the car rental desks, but go out the sliding doors looking for the arrivals hall exit. Once outside the terminal:
- Continue straight ahead until you reach the road.
- Cross the pedestrian crossing.
- Just to the left you will find the «Courtesy Bus» area where one of our representatives properly uniformed will be waiting for you holding a MalagaCar.com sign.
A Malagacar.com shuttle bus will be with you shortly to take you on the short, two minute, drive to our offices.
Please remember that we are «Malagacar.com», as there are some other companies that call themselves Malagacar, but this is not true.
It is very easy to recognize us as our logo can be found on the contracts, uniforms, car keys, mini bus, etc.
Collection at Malaga Train Station (Maria Zambrano):
After leaving the platform go to the main exit of the station. Just outside the exit you will find one of our representatives with a Malagacar.com sign who will identify himself as an employee of the company.
Our office is located in the airport area. The employee WILL ASSIGN YOU AN IDENTIFYING NUMBER TO ENSURE YOUR TURN IN THE MINIBUS AND OUR OFFICE once you have arrived with our free minibus service.
An orange minibus of Malagacar.com will pick you up to take you in a short trip of 7 kilometres (around 15 minutes) to our offices.
You can easily recognize us by our logo, which you will find in contracts, uniforms, vehicle keys, etc.
The car will be returned in our office located at Malaga Airport area. Our free minibus will pick you up to Malaga train station.
Collection at the Cruise Terminal at Malaga Port:
After leaving the terminal just outside the exit you will find one of our representatives with a Malagacar.com sign who will identify himself as an employee of the company. As the time of leaving the cruise ship is not always the same we require clients to call us when they are about to disembark so that we can be there within half an hour.
THE RENTAL PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE
Insurance excess and theft (only if you choose Basic Rate) and damages to tyres, rims, hubcaps, side mirrors, windows, locks and the bottom of the vehicle.
An additional insurance is available to cover the aforementioned damages and theft (in the case of not taking out the insurance offered in the previous point, at the time of picking up the vehicle, Malagacar.com reserves the right to charge the Excess amount as a deposit which will be returned to the client at the end of the contract if the vehicle is returned in the same conditions.
- Vehicles that are in groups A, C have an all risk insurance with 1000 € excess. The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 15 € per day with a minimum of 35 € and a maximum of 210 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 7.50 €/day.
- Vehicles that are in groups AA, CA, CE, CF, D, DA, DB, EA, LA, LB, LC, LD, LF, LG, LH, LI, PA, PB, PG, PH, PL, SA, SB, SE, SF, SH, XA, XB, XC, XD, XE, XF, XG, MC, MF, MI, ML have an all risk insurance with 1200 € excess.
The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 21 € per day with a minimum of 63 € and a maximum of 273 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 10 €/day. - Vehicles that are in groups LK, LE, LL, LM, LS, PU, PT, PV, PZ, SO, XH, XN, XQ, XR, XU, XS, XV, MO have an all risk insurance with 3000 € excess. The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 25 € per day with a minimum of 75 € and a maximum of 390 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 14 €/day.
- Vehicles that are in groups ME, MG have an all risk insurance with 1200 € excess. The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 25 € per day with a minimum of 150 € and a maximum of 525 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 25 €/day.

Additional drivers: The cost per additional driver shall be 6 € per day per driver with a minimum of 12 € and a maximum of 72 € per driver per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 2.50 €/day.
Electric Scooter:
Basic: The rental price of the electric Scooter will be € 7 per day per unit (minimum € 30). A deposit of € 200 per Scooter is required.
Pro: The rental price of the electric Scooter will be € 14 per day per unit (minimum € 60). A deposit of € 300 per Scooter is required.
Maxi Cosi seats, Baby seats and Booster seats (*find below detailed information for each seat according to the weight of the infant / child according to regulations):
- The cost to rent a Baby seat or Maxi Cosi is 4.50 € per day per seat with a maximum of 54 € per seat per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 2 €/day.
- Isofix Baby seat on request can be rented subject to availability or type of car equipped with Isofix at the cost of 8 € per day per Baby seat with a maximum of 90 € per Baby seat per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 3.20 €/day.
- The cost to rent a booster seat is 2 € per day per booster seat with a maximum of 30 € per booster seat per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 1 €/day.
*Up to age 9 months and up to 10 kg: Maxi Cosi. From 9 kg to 18 kg and from 9 months to 3 years old: Baby Seat. From 15 to 36 kg and 3 to 12 years old: Booster Seat.
In case of renting any of the child restraint devices available, the client will be responsible for their suitability, use and placement in the vehicle.
GPS. The cost for the rental of a GPS navigation system is 5 € per day with a minimum of 15 € and a maximum of 50 € per 28 day rental period.
For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 1.80 €/day. There will be required a deposit of 100 €.
Collection of vehicles between 23 h and 8 h / 11 pm and 8 am. The collection of vehicles between the mentioned hours has a surcharge of 35 €.
Damages to the interior of the car, clutch, loss of keys, refuelling the wrong fuel type.
In the event that the car receives any damage, a damage management fee of 50 € will be applied, except there has been contracted the full-risk insurance or Full Pack rate.
If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period the lessee or main driver is held responsible. Said fines carry a cost of 40 €.
Malagacar.com offers a 2 hour courtesy period after the end time of the contracted rental without charge. After this time can be charged an extra day at the current rate.
You are not allowed to leave Spain (mainland) UNDER ANY CONDITION except for travelling to Portugal or Gibraltar for a fee of 8 €/day, with a minimum of 24 € and a maximum of 90 € and up to a rental period of no more than 28 days.
In the case of rentals of 29 days or more, the price will be €3/day. In the case of travel to Portugal and/or Gibraltar without prior notice, the amount corresponding to the entire rental period will be charged.
The vehicle is equipped with a GPS geolocation system for security reasons and mechanical control of the vehicle, and the lessee declares that he/she is aware of and accepts its installation and use. The data thus obtained will be treated with means, criteria of conservation, communication, access rights, rectification, portability and suppression of data protection, for which the lessor is responsible.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Malagacar.com offers a new system of roadside assistance during your rental. This service will be operational from 8 am to 0:00 am. Just click on this link to send us your location. The customer service department will receive your message instantly and we will contact you to confirm the service and / or receipt of assistance requested.
In case of service overload, if you do not receive an answer after a few minutes, you can always call us at +34 600 523 523.
PAYMENT
Payment is completed upon collection of your vehicle with VISA, MasterCard or AMEX credit/debit card. You can pay in cash (a valid debit or credit card is required) when you book the supplementary insurance (extra insurance) or the Full pack rate. The credit card holder must be the lessee (main driver).
DRIVERS AGE
Groups A, AA, C, CA, CE, CF, D, DA, DB.
- 21 years of age and must have been in possession of a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year. Should the driver be younger than 25 years of age or have been in possession of his driving license between 1 and 4 years a surcharge of 6.50 € per day is applicable with a minimum of 17 € and a maximum of 79 € for a rental period not exceeding 28 days. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 4 €/day.
Groups EA, PA, PB, PG, PH, PL, SA, SB, XA, XB, XC, XD.
- 21 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 2 years. There is no upper age limit applicable. Should the driver be younger than 25 years of age or have been in possession of his driving license between 1 and 4 years a surcharge of 9 € per day is applicable with a minimum of 27 € and a maximum of 135 € for a rental period not exceeding 28 days. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is 4.80 €/day.
Groups MC, MF, MI, ML, MO.
- 25 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 2 years.
Groups LA, LB, LC, LD, LF, LG, LH, LI, LK, LE, LL, LM, LS, ME, MG, PU, PT, PV, PZ, SE, SF, SH, SO, XE, XF, XG, XH, XN, XQ, XR, XU, XS, XV.
- 27 years of age and having been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 5 years.

We do not guarantee car brand, model, colour or engine type when booking as we work with car groups.
Our vehicles may not leave the Peninsula.
The leasing company reserves the right to deny the rental of a vehicle to individuals when in doubt of the financial capacity and/or due to a history of outstanding invoices or incidents by the client.
The addresses, both usual and those for the use of the vehicle, must be accredited if required by the staff.
The company is not responsible for lost items. Please check your vehicle well when you return it.
Upon arriving at our office, you will have to provide some personal information before collecting the booked vehicle.
